I highly recommend this monitor. Absolutely great display. Previously I had a 17'' LCD and the difference in terms of image quality is huge. I had problems reading text, for example, on an Internet page - and I do no need prescription glasses. Well, let's just say I am very glad I made the switch.
Acer V223 Worth It January 9, 2009 Michael A. Dean (Rock Hill, SC United States)
This purchased was a good move. The value and the quality was well worth the price. The resolution is excellent and the screen size is perfect. The colors could be better but I wouldn't hold that against it. The style looks good to. Now lets see how long it last.

Pixels misfire, User's Manual says to expect that. January 9, 2009 Chandra
Acer V223-WBD 22" Widescreen TFT LCD Monitor (Black) I suppose this is still a good monitor for the money, but it's the oly one that I've had this kind of trouble with. I've had this one for 3 days now. So far I've had to mess with it about 7 times to fix the "misfiring pixels". Occasionally, the monitor display becomes dotted with red pixels, which is annoying and distracting. No attempt to fix this problem seems to work consistently. The monitor just decides on its own when to display properly and when not to. Here's what the User's Manual has to say about that: "The LCD unit is produced with high-precision manufacturing techniques. Nevertheless, some pixels may occasionally misfire or appear as black or red dots. This has no effect on the recorded image and does not constitute a malfunction." [p.3] Perhaps the guys at Acer don't mind this. Or maybe they use Sony monitors themselves. It sure feels like a malfunction to me - one that I've never encountered on other monitors, and one that occurs more frequently than anything that's not considered a malfunction! If you can afford a few extra bucks for a monitor that works properly most of the time, you may want to skip this one.
