I have had this lamp for several years and I love it. I use it every time I play, and you can position the light exactly where you need it on the page, and it lights the page and stays there until you move it. It can be used with a candle-shaped fluorescent bulb and that way emits very little heat. It resists tipping over, even by a determined five-year-old. If you have the kind of piano this fits on, it will serve you well for many years and it saves having to turn on the main lights in the room (also means that you won't disturb others in the room who want lower lighting). A well-made lamp that serves its purpose extremely well.
