Product Description Brita MYRF-100 Maytag PuriClean Compatible Water Filter (UKF7003AXX) The MYRF-100 filter replaces these models: Maytag / Jenn-Air * UKF7003AXXP * UKF7002AXX * UKF7002 * 7002 * UKF7001AXX * UKF7001 * 7001 * UKF6001AXX * UKF6001 * 6001 * UKF5001AXX * UKF5001 * 5001 More consumers use Brita than any other water filtration in the world. Brita's advanced filtration technology turns ordinary tap water into great-tasting Brita water. Brita is the only refrigerator filter guaranteed by Brita to improve the taste of your water. Your satisfaction is backed by Brita's 30-day money back guarantee Brita refrigerator filters are designed to fit select Whirlpool, KitchenAid, GE, Frigidaire, Kenmore, Maytag, and Jenn-Air models. Brita refrigerator filters have been tested under the same operating specifications as refrigerator manufacturer filters. Water in the refrigerator is forced through a specially formulated carbon block that uses physical absorption to reduce chlorine (taste and odor) and mechanical filtration to reduce sediment for clear, great-tasting Brita water. Brita filters reduce chlorine (taste and odor) and sediment. State regulations prohibit Brita from making health contaminant reduction claims since Brita doesn't manufacture the original refrigerators. Brita filters are designed to work with refrigerators that have a filter change indicator light. Brita filters last about the same length of time as the refrigerator manufacturer filters. We recommend you change the filter when the refrigerator filter change indicator light goes on, or approximately every 6 months. You just have to follow the simple steps on the package and refer to the refrigerator's manual for more detailed instructions. No tools or special equipment is required. Installation Directions: 1. Locate. Turn off ice maker. Do not pull filter before turning. 2. Remove. Turn filter, then pull down gently. 3. Filter. Remove red cap. 4. Install. Insert and rotate 1/4 turn.

Works fine, the only difference is a longer startup time (initial water filling) as other users mentioned, but maybe it's subjective.
No Problems Would Recommend July 17, 2008 M. Fields (Lexington, KY)
I usually order the Maytag brand replacement but tried the Brita this time. Filter fit with no problems and was a little cheaper. Can't beat that !
Fridge water filer July 10, 2008 Jim C. West (CdA, Idaho) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The water is well filtered and fresh, but the Brita doesn't fit as solidly as the Maytag filter it supposedly replaces. I will pay a few $ more for the Maytag filter next time, if only to keep from drooling water everywhere while I try to get the Brita to lock in.
Awesome alternative! July 9, 2008 Lara Tate (Chatsworth, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very good transaction. Good to know there are alternatives to higher priced brand name filters! Very happy with the product and company.
Brita Replacement FIlter for Jenn-Air Fridge April 16, 2008 Grand Master (Colorado, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We purchased these filters instead of the brand that came with the refrigerator because they are a fair amount less costly and because we've had good luck with other Brita filters in the past. Have used one of the six we ordered so far, for about a month, and the water tastes perfect just like it always has. The physical fit is a tad less tight on the fitting than the old filters, but it's got the same o-ring seal and doesn't leak. Don't know how long it will last before needing replacement again, but it should be every bit as good as the original. Recommended.
