| Customer Reviews Nice size, but weak output September 24, 2008 Mac McAuley (Alpha Centauri) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Initially, I loved the compact size of these Lithium-Polymer batteries, so I bought two! Unfortunately, however, I soon realized that the output of these storage cells was just too weak to charge my high-energy toys, such as my iPod touch (16GB and 32GB), my 80GB iPod video, my Samsung Instinct, and three different HP iPaq PDA's. It does appear to have enough power to charge the iPod 3G nano, iPaq h5550, Palm Centro, Creative Zen Vision: M, and a few other small devices. All things considered, I would have to recommend looking elsewhere for your backup power source.
Works, sometimes August 17, 2008 C. Jesinkey (Brooklyn, ny) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have had 3 of these. When it is working it is very effective. The first one I had arrived in non-working order. It would not charge properly (the red light never came on) and it only recharged things until it's initial charge ran out. So, I sent it back to brunton and they very kindly sent me another. That one is still working. I also bought another one while I was waiting for the replacement since I was running out of time before traveling. That one worked for exactly one charge-discharge cycle and has not worked since. None of the lights come on any more. I love the functionality of this product, it is a good size, I hate the fragility. 2 out of 3 bad ones is not a good average. An update: The 3rd one died too. After a little less than 1 months usage. Get the APC Mobile Power Pack instead.
