Hard-dying Mantovani fans will tell you about his two distinctive epochs. First, the young Mantovani and his tiny but popular 'Tipica' dance band, playing continental tunes during the 1930's. Then, the glamourous 'cascading strings' of the great Mantovani Orchestra of the 1960's on. This CD can give you an idea about the transition.
