Customer Reviews ADORABLE! June 16, 2007 J. Johnson (San Mateo, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love these speakers! The first ones I got blew out almost immediately (you've got to turn it up loud enough to drown out your teenager's music to be able to get your own groove on). But I received the replacements from Amazon before I even shipped the blown ones back and these have held up for months! And did I mention they're adorable??
A fine level of sound quality from "tiny" April 2, 2007 southwesterners (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
First, let me confirm the other reviewers comments that the color isn't as shown. It's not, but it only matters if you're truly attempting to match to a specific pink shade. They're pink, but it's a dark pink. What matters is that these tiny speakers sound reasonably powerful and accurate. In general, larger speakers can move more air than small ones, so smaller ones have to work harder especially in the bass range. These speakers are absolutely tiny, so to simply avoid sounding tinny, overstressed and distorted at moderate sound levels would be a victory. The Vivid 60 does this quite well, producing low to moderate sound levels with reasonably wide range to be satisfying. You can't expect a miracle with something this small, but look, these things actually have a hint of bass, and the mid and upper ranges are fairly smoothly reproduced. Vocals are clean, and I haven't found any nasty resonances as I have with other plastic encased systems. I doubt you'll do any better than these without going to a larger size, they are simply well optimized. Treble dispersion is not great, so you'll want these close to you for best sound, within 3 or 4 feet and pointing directly toward you. I bought them for my wife to use while she gets ready in the morning, and she's delighted, uses 'em everyday. They fit easily on a small bathroom wall shelf among the many toiletries and perfumes, blending in as though they belong there. They are usually driven by an iPod. If you must have the smallest, this is definitely a good choice in a very small powered speaker. Just pick your color.
Couldn't be better! February 28, 2006 M. Piazza (Metro Detroit area, MI, USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Speakers sound great for the price and size. They are as described (although it was difficult to tell size from the picture/description). They arrived in a timely fashion. Couldn't ask for more than that!
Pink is Questionable! January 4, 2006 juicygirl (Orange County, CA) 8 out of 19 found this review helpful
I purchased these pink speakers for my daughter to go with her Pink Creative Zen Micro MP3. When they arrived, they were more of a metallic violet color. Not "bubble gum pink" like the MP3. Not even close to matching. I returned them unopened to amazon and only got a portion of my money refunded. Make sure this is what you really want before ordering. I cannot comment on sound or quality as I did not open the package.
COLOR NOT WHAT YOU SEE HERE! December 17, 2005 W. COOMBS (LEVITTOWN, PA) 7 out of 21 found this review helpful
I PURCHASED THESE PINK SPEAKERS FOR MY DAUGHTER TO GO WITH HER PINK ZEN MICRO. WHEN THEY ARRIVED, I THOUGHT AMAZON SENT THE WRONG COLOR BECAUSE THEY LOOK MORE LIKE A VIOLET COLOR. AFTER CHECKING THE PART NUMBER ON THE BOX WITH THE CREATIVE WEB SITE, I FOUND THEY ARE THE PINK SPEAKERS. THEY ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO MATCHING HER PINK ZEN MICRO! I CAN NOT COMMENT ON THE SOUND QUALITY SINCE I HAVE NOT OPENED THE PACKAGE BECAUSE THEY ARE A CHRISTMAAS GIFT FOR MY DAUGHTER, BUT SINCE I HAVE HEARD OTHER CREATIVE SPEAKERS I AM ASSUMING THEY WILL SOUND VERY GOOD FOR THE INTENDED PURPOSE.
