Customer Reviews Always tedious to use. January 6, 2009 G. Morrison (OKC, OK)
I don't see how other reviewers can say this refills quickly--I think that takes a very long time. So, all tasks are tedious and slow. If you can't carry around a bigger, better unit, this may be the best that you may able to manage! I think, at home this is better than a DC unit for inflation. For less hassle and wasted time, get a better/bigger capacity unit, if you can afford and manage it--you'll be much better off in the future!
Big bang for the buck August 12, 2008 Lorenzo 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I paid a ridiculously low price for this compressor (40$+5$ shipping), therefore I was not expecting much from it. I was happily surprised. I am amazed at how well it performs: it fills up in approximately a couple of minutes, and then you have enough air to fill a tire or calibrate 8 tires (automobile). Leaking is minimal, so you can count on it for at least a few days before having to re-fill it. It is very well built and is not even that noisy when running.
Good Value for Money April 30, 2008 N. Fornario 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I couldn't find a compressor at this low price for household use. I used the brad nailer (got to buy it extra) to quickly put up trim molding. My lawn tractor tire was flat, and off the rim, so I was able to pop it back on with the compressor. I aired up the car tires. If you want to run a nail gun, forget it, you got to go for something more heavy duty. This is not a whisper quiet compressor; but for the price I don't care. It runs off household electricity. The compressor runs till the tank is at 100 psi, then cut off. If you have it turned on, and pressure drops, the compressor cycles on. It is small and light weight, a plus. I only gave it a 4 star rating because my last Campbell Hausfeld compressor lasted only three years. It had a rechargeable battery.
Nice Little Air Compressor April 12, 2008 J. Blasdel (Indianapolis, IN) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This air compressor does not hold a lot of air - one gallon to be exact. However, it fills to its maximum 100 psi relatively quickly and once there, will add about 6 or 7 psi to my each of my car tires. This is plenty to air up a tire and by the time I go to the next tire and check it's pressure, the compressor is back to 100 psi and ready to go. For me and my needs, which are not commercial or professional, this thing does the trick for the right price.
Insulting people at customer service tried to rip me off. April 5, 2008 Richard E. Aaron (Los Angeles) 3 out of 17 found this review helpful
I needed to purchase a filter for this product which I did on line, but in three weeks when I had not received the filter I place a call to the mfg. I was told that the piece I ordered was not made any more that there is another product the will do the job. I ordered two filters and a few days later received the filters. Two weeks later i received a so called filter in the mail with they charge to my credit card. I called the company and told them the story but they said you did order this and if you return it there will be a restocking fee. But I told them that I already ordered the right filter and was told that the internet order would be deleted. They said they had no such written info that I did that. They were rude and insulting to me. Please do not purchase and Campbell Hausfeld products. By the way I returned it and they failed to credit my credit card. Very bad company.
