I have a pair of leather Chaco sandals from 2005 and they fit well and are attractive. When I needed a new pair of sandals for this summer I decided to try the ZX/1. Well, they are comfortable, but something about them is very unflattering. They make my small foot look big and fat! I think perhaps it is because the strap across the instep is black rather than the color of the other straps. It calls attention to the instep and makes it look wide. I sent them back.

I love my Chaco sandals. They fit well, but I wish they carried them in half sizes. I wear a 7.5 and I purchased an 8. Sometimes I wonder if I should have bought a 7. Overall, they're great hiking sandals.
