I got this in mid March, and it's just now starting to dim after being played with about once a week. My only issue is you have to use firm pressure to hold the button down, and my thumb gets tired before my cats do.

I bought two lasers, one for my dog and one for my cat, and they simply LOVE IT. I have had a few lasers in the past for them but the lasers always seem to break or last a few days (and I even bought a pretty exspensive one too and it lasted about 2 hours). So the price is right, the quality is right, and the shape of the laser is easy to hold and use. I'm actually going to buy 3-4 more for my roommates and sisters pets. BEST PET LASER EVER!!!!

My cats absolutely love this little red laser. I cannot believe the other person who reviewed it was negative and complained....the laser costs under $2!!! Try and find one somewhere else for that price. We had ours for a couple of years and only ordered a new one because I lost it. It is a great cat toy but, I would say not to give it to little children to play with cats. You have to be careful not to get the laser in the cats eye(or anyone elses for that matter).

This laser pointer was bright for a day. I carried it in my jacket pocket (not my back pants pocket) and it got bent just under normal use. The construction is too flimsy to last long.
