I haven't even received my case yet, so I won't comment on the quality of this product. My gripe is with the fact that it takes 1-2 months for this thing to even ship! What, do they have to raise the cow, slaughter it, dry out the skin, then finally form it into a case? It makes no sense to me. If anybody from Amazon has an explanation, that'd be great.
Good enough January 9, 2009 P. Ashwood
We bought two of these for our second generation touch iPods. It is a nice case which protects the iPod. The volume toggle is under leather and difficult to access especially with one hand. So for the second generation devices you might want to look around more.
Great Solid case January 8, 2009 diskeed
Excellent case, superb construction. Also have one protecting my iPod 5th Gen and iPod 6th Gen (Classic), all very durable. Got it for my new 32gb Touch 2nd Gen after reading some reviews here, fits fine, works just fine. At first I lived with the external volume control being covered, but then I took an exacto knife and (very) carefully cut a slot exposing the control. I don't recommend it unless your hand is extremely steady. I've really liked these DLO cases over the years and hope their buyout by Philips doesn't trash the line.
Don't Expect It to Last January 7, 2009 M. Killian (Davie, FL United States)
I bought this back in March. It is a nice looking case, but within 6 months the stitching along the bottom is unraveling and is now over half removed. I need to replace this case or lose my iTouch. Since I bought it at Amazon and have the receipt I called DLO for a repair or replacement. After spending 30 minutes on hold, the support guy informed me that DLO was purchased by Philips and they are not honoring those warranties past 90 days. He did take the time to confirm with his manager, but I was told I would have to purchase a new case. I will purchase a new case, but it won't be a DLO prduct. It's a nice looking case, and functional, but I can't afford to by a new one every 6 months. Whathappened to the days when companies stood behind their products?
HipCase for iPod Touch is Hip Indeed January 6, 2009 W. Voigt (Troy, Michigan USA)
I received the case and put it to use immediately. It is everything I hoped it would be. It's quality leather, small and with a screen covering flap, an all around iPod carrier and protector. It's easy open easy close magnetic closure flap folds back completely out of the way when the iPod is in use. The belt clip is low profile yet secure avoiding the bulky "sticking out" nature so prevalent in other cases. I tried two other brands before this one. They didn't come close in quality, protection and utility.
