As others have reported, this unit is terrible. The "fully charged" batteries last a very short time and the recharge unit is cheap and performs poorly.

Battery usage in my Canon A590 is literally less than 15 minutes. I can charge for 24 hours and still not get much more than ten minutes, spend a little extra and get a better product!!!

The light doesn't go off when the batteries are charged, and after I charged them for 12 hours, 2 batteries lasted only a few minutes in my digital camera. I was literally only able to take a few pictures and then had to change the batteries. The second set lasted a few hours longer. I think I'll just stick to alkaline batteries. This was one gift I wish I could return!!

I have purchased this along with Canon power shot 590IS. The batteries that I got along with this really sucks. After charging them for a long time they last for merely half an hour. I don't know if its because of the quality of the batteries or the charger.

You never really knew if the batteries charged or not. They only worked a brief time after charging.. I personally think I go for the expensive chargers if I ever used one again. Great drawer stuffer.
