Racing games for the Wii can be played without the wheel.
Racing games for the Wii are enjoyed to there maximum potential
with the wheel.
Would recommend using Official Nintendo Wii Wheel for the these types of games. Have used other 3rd party wheels and I have to say Nintendo has it right with this one.

I am tired of all the Wii Wheel haters. Mario Kart is way more fun with the wheel. It is what sets the game apart from Double Dash, etc. I just bought a second wheel and I am looking forward to trying out some split screen racing.

Wii is the perfect device to share time and fun with the family and friends. It is not a common console, it is more than that. Keep in mind that I'm 46 yers old and I belong to another generation, and this invention for me is great!! Try to test it and enjoy!

The Wii Wheel is well made, solid, and attractive.

As far as its usefulness is concerned, that's completely up to the buyer. My girlfriend prefers the wheel hands down when playing Mario Kart. Personally, I find the wiimote/nunchuck combo to be the best for me.

Since that's up to personal preference, there's no reason to include it in my rating. So the product gets 5 stars for what it is -- a well-designed, well-finished product with good ergonomics.

My grandson loves the extra wheel and it is a lot better than what came with the game.
